Mobasheri Confirms Tehran Times Report After Initially Denying It
Speaking to the Central News Bureau (CNB) yesterday, he said that some of the prisoners who are old or suffering from poor health will be released on bail after investigations are completed. He added that the inquiries are currently underway.
As regards the bail that should be posted by these prisoners, Mobasheri said that it has been set by the judge, but the court is also ready to receive any complaints in this regard.
It is worth noting that the TEHRAN TIMES recently reported that some religious nationalist prisoners would be released soon on bail. However, the report was denied by the Public Relations Office of Islamic Revolutionary Court.
Following Mobasheri's interview with the CNB, the Public Relations Office of the TEHRAN TIMES wrote a letter to Public Relations Office of the Islamic Revolutionary Court yesterday and criticized that office for its earlier denial of the daily's report. The letter stressed that such hasty denials should be avoided in future in order to preserve the credibility of the Judiciary, especially the Islamic Revolutionary Court.
